About these terms
These terms apply to everyone who enrols in a class with Al-Bayan Institute of Online Learning, and to everyone who uses this website. By booking a trial class or enrolling a student, you agree to them. If you are enrolling on behalf of a child, you agree to them as that child's parent or guardian.
Who can enrol
Anyone can enrol, of any age and from any country. If the student is under 18, a parent or guardian must make the booking, provide the contact details and remain responsible for fees, attendance and conduct.
Free trial classes
Students in Pakistan receive one free trial class. Students outside Pakistan receive three. Trial classes are free of charge, require no payment details, and carry no obligation to continue. Trial classes are offered once per student; we may decline repeated trial requests for the same student.
Enrolment and scheduling
After the trial you tell us whether you wish to continue. We then agree a fixed weekly schedule in your timezone. The standard schedule is five classes a week of 30 minutes each; other schedules are available on request and are priced accordingly.
Timings are agreed between you and the Institute. If you need to change your regular slot, tell us in advance and we will rearrange it where a teacher is available.
Fees and payment
Fees are charged monthly, in advance. The amount depends on your country and the schedule you choose; current rates are shown on our website and confirmed to you before you enrol.
Payment is made by Meezan Bank transfer or Easypaisa, using the details published on our website. After paying, please send the receipt to your teacher on WhatsApp so we can confirm it. Any bank charges or currency conversion costs are the sender's responsibility.
We may revise our fees. Existing students will be told at least 30 days before any increase applies to them.
Refunds
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Attendance, missed and rescheduled classes
Please give your teacher at least 24 hours' notice if you cannot attend. With notice, we will try to reschedule the class within the same week, subject to teacher availability.
If a student does not appear and no notice was given, the teacher will wait 15 minutes and the class will be counted as taken. If a teacher is unable to attend, that class is rescheduled or credited to you in full.
Your responsibilities
To get the benefit of the class, we ask that you:
- Join on time, with a working device, headphones and a stable internet connection
- Make sure a young student is in a quiet, appropriate place for the lesson
- Treat the teacher with respect, as we require our teachers to treat you
- Complete the revision the teacher sets between lessons
- Pay fees on time
Our responsibilities and safeguarding
We will provide a qualified teacher, keep to the agreed schedule as far as circumstances allow, and teach the syllabus you enrolled for. Our teachers are expected to behave respectfully and professionally at all times.
Parents are welcome to sit in on any class, at any time, without notice. If you are ever uncomfortable with anything that happens in a lesson, contact the Director directly on our WhatsApp number and it will be investigated.
Class platforms and technical requirements
Classes take place on WhatsApp, Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Google Meet. You are responsible for your own device and internet connection. We are not able to refund a class that could not go ahead because of a problem on your side, though we will always try to reschedule it.
Recording of classes
Neither party may record a class without the other's consent. Students and parents must not record, photograph, publish or share any part of a class, teaching material or a teacher's image without written permission.
Intellectual property
All course material, notes, worksheets and content on this website belong to Al-Bayan Institute of Online Learning unless stated otherwise. You may use them for your own study. You may not resell, republish or distribute them, or use them to teach commercially, without our permission.
Suspension or termination
You may stop your enrolment at any time by telling us. We ask for 7 days' notice as a courtesy so the teacher's schedule can be adjusted.
We may suspend or end an enrolment if fees remain unpaid, if a student or parent behaves abusively toward a teacher, or if our terms are seriously broken. Where we end an enrolment for reasons other than misconduct, we refund any unused classes.
Disclaimer
We teach with care and to the best of our ability, but learning outcomes depend on the student's attendance, effort and revision. We do not guarantee that a student will complete Hifz, reach a particular standard, or finish a course in a set period.
Information on this website is provided in good faith and may change.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability in connection with our classes is limited to the fees you have paid us for the month in question. We are not liable for indirect losses, or for interruptions caused by internet failures, power cuts, platform outages or events outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Where the law of your own country gives you rights as a consumer that cannot be set aside, those rights are unaffected.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows the current version. If a change materially affects enrolled students, we will tell you on WhatsApp.
